information on debug builds...

I´m now trying to collect information why php crashes on die() in some methods... It would be great If someone could point me to some information on these builds. a) I´ve found out that it´s not possible to executie PHP files regulary with PHP/Apache, am I doing something wrong or is it the way intended? b) I thought I could just run my script (from browser), click on "Cancel" on crash to open MSVC and backtrace the last steps. I´ll keep trying to experiment with MSVC but generally I´m unexperienced with it and don´t know how to execute a .php file with...
