I am currently adding support for Empress RDBMS into the PHP unified
ODBC interface. I am not making any changes to the source code; except
for header information for the Empress sql.h and sqlext.h definitions. I
originally applied the changes to php 3.0.5 and they worked fine.
However I then applied them to the latest cut in the CVS tree and now I
have a problem. In my basic tests the php cgi does not return until it
times out - then it returns the complete HTML page I expected, plus a
timeout message.
As far as I can tell from monitoring the Empress RDBMS server, the data
is very quickly retrieved from the DB and the connection broken, but
then the script waits until timeout occurs.
Have they been changes in the ODBC interface that might have caused this
- are there any problems like this with other RDBMS's, or is this likely
to be just an Empress problem?
