First of all - I screwed up. I fogot to remake the Apache excutable before I ran the test - I was still usiung the earlier version of PHP. As for GDB. Here is the result... (gdb) where #0 0x400d9c9d in chunk_free () at malloc.c:2848 #1 0x400d9991 in __cfree () at malloc.c:2684 #2 0x805fc50 in shutdown_memory_manager () at alloc.c:352 #3 0x805892b in php3_request_shutdown (dummy=0x0) at main.c:828 #4 0x8059ed1 in main (argc=1, argv=0xbffff900) at main.c:1791 I checked the source - line 352 in alloc.c is a call to free.
