PHP version: 4.0.1pl2
PHP Bug Type: Oracle related
Bug description: OCIError does not return anything after a failed ocilogin() call
I sometimes get errors connecting to the Oracle database even when I can connect via sqlplus from
the
same machine. Wiithout any error code or text I am not sure how to debug my connection problems!
The oracle server is running under VMS (we are converting to Solaris, but I have not been able to
try
that server yet).
I *have* read in some web discussions that OCIError did not work for others in the case of
connection
problems, so I am pretty sure it is not just my setup.
