This is because the mysql library you are using is linked against pthreads. You need a version of
the library that isn't linked against pthreads. Either compile the mysql client libs from the
mysql sources, rebuild from the source rpm but remove the switch in the spec file that turns on
pthread support, or wait for the mysql folks to put up non-phreads client rpms.
