As the author of the Java bindings, my experience is that you would
probably get more interest and feedback if you were to contribute this to
the PHP base itself. Also, the Zend interfaces have undergone a rapid
evolution, and while this may slow down now that 4.0 has been released, in
general the people making the changes have done a good job keeping the code
inside the php CVS tree in synch.
Independent of whether you contribute this code to php, if you have any
questions - don't hesitate to ask.
