I realize that this is really vague, but we're having a very stange
problem upgrading to the latest cvs. Strange errors seem to happen
throughout the product we're developing. It seems like it gets so far
into the output and then messes up. If that point happens to be in some
PHP code it tends to forget any global variables on that line and exit
with an appropriate error for that or seg fault. If that point is in
the middle of some text (outside PHP tags) Apache will seg fault at that
point. If you delete a couple characters at the top of the file a few
more characters will appear at the bottom. If you change the code a
little bit you can usually get it to move the problem to another spot.
Unfortunately the code is quite complex with files being included 5 to 6
levels deep, so I'm finding it really hard to provide a script that
duplicates this error without submitting the whole product. Once I do I
will be providing a formal bug report. I wondered if anyone else was
having any similar problems or any suggestions on the best way to get
enough information to track it down... Thanks!
