I wasn't clear why Empress was liable to be the culprit here - but as I'm the new kid on the block I am the one most likely to screw up.... If you need to test all the make options (including Empress) I can give you have an Empress ODBC client driver... You won't be able to test the functionality since you don't have an RDBMS, but at least you'd know if it linked in OK. Otherwise I can test it when you make the cut...
