Did you try running it under a debugger? Where does it crash? Could it be that you have stale C runtimes or php4ts_debug.dll's in your path?

Daniel just told me that the debug version does not seem to like the php.ini, after removing it I get an error instead of hanging I could already figure out how to use that MutekBugTrapper but I don´t know which data es relevant, so I´ve deactivated all .dlls but phpdebug and user32.dll (there it hangs), the last call I got is "WaitMessage" ...
