PHP 4.0 Bug #6216 Updated: error in the linking phase

ID: 6216 User Update by: zapzap@zwf.net Status: Open Bug Type: Compile Failure Description: error in the linking phase my configure line is when i have the first error message : ./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars --with-config-file-path=/etc/Configuration/php/Conf --with-ftp --enable-trans-sid --disable-debug --enable-safe-mode --with-exec-dir=/etc/Configuration/php/Bin then i change the configure line to : ./configure --with-mysql=/usr --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 --enable-track-vars --with-config-file-path=/etc/Configuration/php/Conf --with-ftp --enable-trans-sid --disable-debug --enable-safe-mode --with-exec-dir=/etc/Configuration/php/Bin and now i got : /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o): In function `my_uncompress': my_compress.o(.text+0x97): undefined reference to `uncompress' /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(my_compress.o): In function `my_compress_alloc': my_compress.o(.text+0x12b): undefined reference to `compress' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [target_static] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/APACHE/Apache1312-php400-Zend-SSL/BUILD/apache_1.3.12/src' make[1]: *** [build-std] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/APACHE/Apache1312-php400-Zend-SSL/BUILD/apache_1.3.12' make: *** [build] Error 2 thanks zapzap Full Bug description available at: http://bugs.php.net/?id=6216
