Could not reproduce this, but sscanf has another problem - when doing
<? sscanf($a, "%d", $b); ?>
it says:
<b>Warning</b>: Parameter 2 to sscanf() must be passed by reference in
<b>-</b> on line <b>1</b><br>
Which means it seems to require old call-time reference passing. I'm not
sure how to fix this. Seems to be a real problem here...
