Dear Gregory,
This list is for discussing issues that relate to the development of the PHP language.
Please send your PHP support questions to the php general list (php-general@lists.php.net - see www.php.net/support.php for details on how to subscribe, etc...)
To quickly answer your question, first retrieve the file using fopen (or some other method). Then parse the file.

Greets, a newbie PHP user asking for some help here :) I need to parse an XML file from another server into my PHP script. I've found a lot of info on how to do this locally, that is to parse it from a file on local file system, but I don't see anywhere on how to parse a remote file, something like http://server/my.xml or http://server/my.php3?result=xmloutput (assuming reuslt is xml output), anyone??
