Check the dates of msvcrt.dll, msvcirt.dll, and msvcp60.dll (also
mfc42.dll for gui apps). Also check that there are no duplicates of
these dll's on the system. They should only be in the system32
directory (system dir on win95/98). I've seen some mysterious bugs
dissapear once this is cleaned up and current versions are on the
system.
