Well, the ripped-down script really crashes here, too, only part of the
time. Because the bug seems in some obscure way to be dependent of the
internal state of the scripting engine, I'm not surprised at all if it
doesn't happen on somebody else's machine.
By the way, I examined the situation somewhat in gdb and it doesn't seem
that the symbol information in the backtrace of the report was at all
correct - I looked at the frames, and not _one_ of their listings (though
my apache had been compiled without debugsyms) contained a call to the
inner frame (which it, AFAIK, should contain in every but really esoteric
cases). I'm not a gdb guru, I just wonder... what could cause the symbols
to point to incorrect places?
I updated pdflib to 3.02. This version doesn't make much difference,
though. At least it won't take away the bug.
