Need help - Apache ICU internationalization PHP3-PHP4 upgrade

I implemented PHP internationalization support using ICU that was modified to run under Apache for PHP-3. This requires changes to PHP to provide support for this special function add on. It ran as a special loaded resident application with changes to: php.h, main.h, main.c, internal_functions.c, mod_php3.h, mod_php3.c and info.c. It also provided code in Apache that enabled PHP-3 per directory configuration code to work as well as extended mime support for PHP-3. mod_xicu also provides a special API for PHP and similar applications. Also included are changes to ICU itself for this application. The original code used ICU 1.4 and I am finishing the changes for ICU 1.6. I am working with the ICU development team to integrate my modifications into the ICU base code in the next release(ICU 1.7). I may also do an ISAPI implementation. I want help to work out a design for PHP-4 so that all modifications to the core code can be integrated into the PHP-4 base code. Carl
