Well, there was comment. Variables without values indeed have not much sense - they are initializers after all, why not give them a value? If you just don't care, a value won't hurt. If you do care, a value should be there.
have a look at the manual: "language.oop.html" it´s documented this way, users will follow (blindly) and don´t get that it does nothing and don´t understand why it is not returned because they think it´s a class var, remember it has "var" in front and imagine you wouldn´t know and you don´t get that it can´t be returned with a common function because it has no value... you can add these for having a better overview or indicating that you´re using this one a certain method, but I don´t need to tell you :) It should be mentioned that get_class_vars() does not return those vars andré
