I am also having this problem. I think the thing being missed is that, at least in my case, I am not including anything. Just simply going to a php document. So my document: test.php contains only <? phpinfo(); ?> and when accessed returns: Warning: Unable to access /usr/local/apache/httpd/usr/local/apache/httpd/htdocs/test.php in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Failed opening '/usr/local/apache/httpd/htdocs/test.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0 This is with a doc_root of /usr/local/apache/httpd.
