Hi,
With snapshot 200009180845, compiled on Digital Unix 4.0 with ./configure --enable-sockets and gcc 2.7.2.3, here're the ext/sockets warnings:

sockets.c:1614: structure has no member named `msg_control'
sockets.c:1615: structure has no member named `msg_controllen'
sockets.c:1617: structure has no member named `msg_control'

sockets.c: In function `php_if_sendmsg':
sockets.c:1746: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1770: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
*** Exit 1
Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.
On NetBSD 1.3.3 and gcc 2.7.2.2, here're the warnings (it does not fail compiling however)
sockets.c: In function `php_if_recvmsg':
sockets.c:1608: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1614: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1667: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1673: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c: In function `php_if_sendmsg':
sockets.c:1746: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
sockets.c:1770: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type
btw, this is not related, but I'd really like to see in future releases :)
- --without-db configure option
- true fork() PHP function (ticks is yet a good step)
- SMTP function through imap c-client lib
- proper curl support with gcc 2.7.2
- would it be possible to use the integrated sendmail-for-Windows on Unix systems when there're no sendmail-like mailer on the system (and though mail() won't work) ?
