Have you tried using pdflib instead?
(configure using --with-pdflib)
I don't see any reasons to use clibpdf since
pdflib3 was released.

When I try to run this function my php4 script crashes saying 0 sized reply .
All the text functions works fine but image or jpeg are not working.
