Yes, I'm sure. However, I've correct the problem. Apparently, the
"configure" cache did not pickup on the fact there is a more recent version
of libmcrypt on the system. At any rate, it compiled without problem when I
blew away the cache.

Are you sure you are using php 4.0.2? This problem occurred when compiling
libmcrypt 2.4.4 with php < 4.0.2,
because it wasn't supported. If you compiled with 4.0.2, please grab a
freshsource, and try to compile again.

The command issued:
LDFLAGS="-s" CFLAGS="-O2" ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs
--with-pcre --with-dom --with-mcrypt=/
usr/local/lib
--disable-debug --with-imap
--with-xml
I compiled libmcrypt-2.4.4 with --disable-posix-threads. To correct the
issue, I commented out the entire #if ... #endif pair. However, when trying
to start Apache, module libmcrypt.so.4 could not be loaded. I check the
/etc/ld.so.conf file and added the path for /usr/local/lib. I then issued
ldconfig -v. The module was found but contained an error to an undefined
reference: lt_dlerror and would not run. Any ideas?
