My original email is a little incomplete, as there were some other very funky and nasty compilation issues under IRIX 6.5. In addition to the following, the SGI native compiler did NOT enjoy the inconsistent "inline" directives in your code. Whereby in ext/standard/* files, header files declared forward function references as inline, but .c files failed to do so, and during the compiler pass, inline functions are placed directly, and no forward referencing is done post-object creation ... so I had to remove many of the inline decs in the header files and several of the .c files to actually get it to compile. Library creation itself was also something of an issue. After I got all the object files built, I was finally forced to manually create my .so with ld, adding each of the static archives by hand. I did finally get it working however, and have it running flawlessly under Zeus. I must say that Zeus + IRIX + php is a wonderful combination. Hope this helps --Jeffrey W.
