while trying to discover why a series of header redirects does not keep
the initial session id, i began looking in the session code. hence this
question...
PHP_FUNCTION(session_id) returns a string of (old, 0) (line 1125
ext/session.c)
why 'old'?
while I may be missing something, it seems to me that the PS(id) located
in this code is (possibly) being changed, and PHP is returning the
pre-updated version of the PS(id).
