This is unlikely to be a PHP bug. If there is a bug here at all, it must be in Apache since that is
where REMOTE_USER gets set, but I doubt that as well. You are probably doing something silly like
doing a <LIMIT GET> in your Apache .conf file when you are applying the auth rules. That
would mean that they don't get applied on a POST.
