PHP Bug Type: Compile Warning
Bug description: char / unsigned char mismatch
(using php-3.0.17RC1)
file functions/strings.c line 55 and many
other occurences:
return type of function is "char*" but the
type returned (Variable "new") is of type
"unsigned char *".
In many functions the relationship
"char" == "unsigned char" is assumed.
This is lazy programmimng style.
