Is this still happening with more recent versions of php4
(from CVS or snaps.php.net) ??
And please attach minimal reproducing script.

I 've got the same Problem as described previously in ID #2662 ...
My Script builds a complete HTML-Page and echos this in one single echo-statement ... the execution
of this single statement differs between 0.200 and more than 60.000 seconds ... the outputlength in
each case is about 34 Kbytes.
The Server ist fitted with more than 192MB ... there are about 3 Pageimpression/ Minute ... not much
... i believe ...
