Hello Alex,

I've been writing fully localized software for about 7 years. Today, most
of the software that I write with PHP is fully localized, ie, the text of
the messages and other details are fetched at runtime depending on the
application user's locale.
I heard about gettext but I never got right what is the advantage of using
it as opposed of having global arrays with the pertinent locale
definitions. I wonder if you could explain in detail about the advantages
of using gettext.
