I've noticed that there have been a lot of problems compiling this on other platforms besides linux/glibc. Unfortunately, I have no way of correcting any of these compile problems on other platforms without access to a machine running something besides what I am running at home. Is there any chance I would be able to get accounts on such machines which this breaks on so that I can repair the problems?
