We had one of our customer's web servers almost go down because the
Apache error log had 1.9 GB worth of this line in it:
[Fri Oct 13 13:13:50 2000] [error] PHP Fatal error: ht=ef41b89c is
already destroyed in zend_hash.c:519 in Unknown on line 0
This was repeated 40-50 times a second for several days, until we
noticed the runaway Apache process and killed it. The misbehaving box
is runnning Solaris 2.6, Apache 1.3.12, and PHP 4.0.0. This happened
once before on a box running Linux 2.2.16, Apache 1.3.12, and I believe
PHP 4.0.0.
Has anyone seen this before? If so, do you know if this is fixed in
newer versions of PHP? I need to be able to reassure our customer that
this isn't going to keep happening if we upgrade. Thanks!
