I've noticed the same on Linux 2.2.16 Intel.
When PHP is compiled with oci8 and ldap support it doesn't work,
but when I compile it without oci8 it works.
I managed the problem this way:
1. compiled php (4.0.3pl1) without oci8 but with ldap support (config
--with-ldap and so on)
2. i ran config <everything what was here before>
--with-oci8=/path/to/oracle and compiled php once again.
3. oracle and ldap work.
