hi,
i know things like this have maybe been discussed before - and i know
the proposed solution won't be "bullet-proof" (proxies etc)...
but we could error-check every write/flush to the client and set a
global variable if it failed. that way a script could check if the data
could be delivered completely - at least to apache....(i want to do
accounting on COMPLETE download of hi-res photos).
eg:
....
flush()
if (apache_status() == SUCCESS) /* or output_status() ??? */
my_logger("success downloading");
else
my_logger("download interrupted...");
/* end of page */
?>
i had a short look thru the sources and i believe it could be done by
changing PHPWRITE, php3_flush() etc....
is that something you think would be useful and worth digging into????
regards,
tc
