Yup, this is pretty low-level stuff. But I do agree that it is needed.
Before this gets committed, we need at least 3 core guys to take a very
close look. Stig, Zeev, Jim? I know you guys are busy, but this is
something that has been fuzzy for a while and something we need to take a
very close look at. The concensus regarding the r->connection->aborted
being set by Apache was that we cannot rely on it and that we need to
check the return status of any writes. That's what this patch does.
I'll be testing this code this afternoon, hopefully. Please see if you
can spare 30 minutes at some point to give it a whirl as well.
Thies, I'll do the php3.ini/httpd.conf directives when the time comes,
don't worry about that.
