From: tobias@dnet.it Operating system: FreeBSD 2.2.6 PHP version: 3.0.6 PHP Bug Type: Misbehaving function Bug description: eregi_replace misbehaves on German Umlaute The following code doesn't work as expected: $test = "value = täst"; $test = eregi_replace (" = .*", " = töst", $test); $test is now "value = töstäst"! I should probably mention that str_replace doesn't work correctly (keeps crashing the httpd under certain cirumstances) either on this system. Everything works as expected under Linux and NT though. If a developer is interested, I can setup a temporary account for him. -- PHP Development Mailing List http://www.php.net/ To unsubscribe send an empty message to php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For help: php-dev-help@lists.php.net
