ID: 6382 Updated by: jmoore Reported By: pender@interactive.net Status: Feedback Bug Type: IIS related Assigned To: Comments: From Phil Driscoll <phil@dialsolutions.co.uk> ------------------------------------------------ Jim Can you try running php.exe in a command window. I suspect you may then get to see an error message which would serve as a clue as to why the php isapi module won't start up. Cheers -- Phil Driscoll ------------------------------------------------- Previous Comments: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2000-11-04 08:19:17] jmoore@php.net Can you please try with latest version of php, also can you detail anything else you have running, I see you have sp1 there were a few problems with that but I think they were fixed in 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 so its worth upgrading, Ill see if I can dig up the other bug reports. If these do not fix the problem can you please detail if you have anything else running with IIS.. exchange etc, it might be a known problem. Thanks James --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2000-11-03 12:26:53] sniper@php.net User feedback: --------------- I have tried all available versions. ---------------- But does it work WITHOUT PHP 4? --Jani --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2000-11-01 09:08:53] sniper@php.net Does it work without PHP 4 ? And have you tried PHP 4.0.3pl1 ?? --Jani --------------------------------------------------------------------------- [2000-08-27 15:18:46] pender@interactive.net After my Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 1 computer boots, the "W3SVC" never starts, It is stuck in the "Starting.." stage, It never gets to the "Started" stage. If you go to the command line and type the command to stop the service, "net stop w3svc", the service gets stuck in the "Stopping..." mode. Also, the "Internet Services Manager" application in the Administrative Tools section does not load, you click on it and nothing appears to happen. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full Bug description available at: http://bugs.php.net/?id=6382
