Yeah, I am considering that. I am not sure how useful it is though. The way to do it right now is with something like: function done() { if(connection_aborted()) { do whatever; } do other stuff; } register_shutdown_function("done"); In this case the 'do other stuff' will always be excuted no matter how the script ended.
