Hi all, we have made an extension for PHP which uses the Qt, www.trolltech.com/qt, DOM XML parser to parse XML files. This is because the xmltree() function which we use in some applications we have made does not work that well. So my question is: How do I get this extension into PHP ? We have some other issues which also must be solved: The CXX variable in config_vars.mk does not get set, and we need it so be set to the C++ compiler to use. Now we set it manually. The file libs.mk, in ext/qtdom, needs a small modification to work with c++ files. This is how is looks by default: LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS = $(LTLIBRARY_SOURCES:.c=.lo) $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS_X) LTLIBRARY_SHARED_OBJECTS = $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS:.lo=.slo) $(LTLIBRARY_NAME): $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS) $(LTLIBRARY_DEPENDENCIES) $(LINK) $(LTLIBRARY_LDFLAGS) $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS) $(LTLIBRARY_LIBADD) targets = $(LTLIBRARY_NAME) It needs to be: LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS = $(LTLIBRARY_SOURCES:.c=.lo) $(LTLIBRARY_SOURCES_CPP:.cpp=.lo) $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS_X) LTLIBRARY_SHARED_OBJECTS = $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS:.lo=.slo) $(LTLIBRARY_NAME): $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS) $(LTLIBRARY_DEPENDENCIES) $(LINK) $(LTLIBRARY_LDFLAGS) $(LTLIBRARY_OBJECTS) $(LTLIBRARY_LIBADD) targets = $(LTLIBRARY_NAME) This is now done manually, how do we do this automatically? ( libs.mk, is generated when we do ./configure ). And we need autoconf to check for the Qt lib and if it's compiled with XML. PS: are there planned any new relases of PHP in the near future. We can't release our software before this extensio is included in PHP. BTW: the projects which will need this extension are available at: publish.ez.no and trade.ez.no, it's GPL. -- Bård Farstad System developer eZ systems as http://www.ez.no
