Recently Ke Jin has officially asked my company to further enhance iODBC under a LGPL license. We accepted this responsibility and set up an infrastructure for distributing the source archive. We are working closely with members of the Internet community in enhancing the iODBC driver manager into a complete package based on the X/OPEN CLI and Microsoft ODBC standards. The package will include: * Complete ODBC 3.0 specification coverage * ODBC installer library with GUI extensions * Free drivers for various free databases We are trying to insure portability across a great number of platforms. Besides most commonly used UNIX platforms, we also have support for VMS at this time. We are looking for Mac and OS/2 enthusiasts to provide coverage on those systems. If you have made any modifications to iODBC, i would welcome you to download the new source distribution from the web site: http://www.openlinksw.com/iodbc/ As current maintainer of this project, i welcome working together with all interested parties in extending the iODBC driver manager. If you have any suggestions, fixes, ideas for enhancements etc, please do not hesitate to contact me at: mailto:iodbc@openlinksw.com Best regards, Patrick van Kleef ---- Patrick van Kleef Email : iodbc@openlinksw.com Principal Consultant Web : http://www.openlinksw.com/iodbc/ OpenLink Software Universal Database Connectivity Technology Providers -- PHP Development Mailing List http://www.php.net/ To unsubscribe send an empty message to php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For help: php-dev-help@lists.php.net
