hi,
i've just started working on the oci8.c (which stig started last
year)...
my 1st goal will be some kind of LOB handling.
oracle returns LOB-Locators (which are internal oracle structures and
not strings like ROWID). to get the acutal value you need to pass that
LOB-Locator to some LOB-reading functions and so on.
oracle supplies functions to allocate/deallocate those lobs.
my question is now: how do i return a LOB-Locator to the script. we only
have a "limited" amount of datatypes that php can handle....
the scrtipt could look like:
..... do some "select LOB from table" here
$locator = ocigetcolumn($cursor,"LOB");
$data = ocireadlob($connection,$locator,-1);
what would/should gettype($locator) return - better - what should it
be???
any suggestions?
tc
