1. The bug report was tagged as 'bogus' for lack of information.
(you have to give more info about what doesn't work..)

Sorry, but it would be nice to have an answer to the point about Bug id
#7919. I have seen two such questions in mail lists this year and nobody
answered. It seems to be incorrect when fopen("C:/temp/myfile.xx","w+")
works fine but fopen("M:/myfile.xx","w+"), where M is only a letter for
"network drive" for C:/temp - does not working.
