Hi
Bug 7401 (PHP4 cannot handle UNC paths) has been changed to a feature
request.
I think, the fact that UNC paths don't work should at least be mentioned in
the PHP4 incompatibilites list - for they used to work in PHP3.
For win32-developers thinking about migration to PHP4 this information can
be quite important if they work on big systems. Not to be able to work with
UNC-paths on win32 means not to being able to work with network shares in a
win32-production environment (which can be important,i.e. in a setting,
where the web server gets the files from a repository of an external file
server).
Thank you for listening.
Christoph
