transparent output compression still doesn't work

I've tried to enable these transparent output buffers again and it still doesn't work, I've also tried the builds from www.php4win.de, this is my code

$a=50;
ob_start("ob_gzhandler");
echo str_repeat('a',$a);
ob_end_flush();
?>
and my headers
GET /_te2.php HTTP/1.0
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
I've currently tried w2k,apachemod,with inline_optimizations
In addition I do not really know how to solve this warning building php_zlib.dll, perhaps it has something to do with it...
