I first posted this message to the general mailing list but nobody was
able to help me. Hopefully somebody in here can give me a little more
insight in to what is going on and how to fix it.
I am trying to get Macromedia Flash 5 to talk to PHP using a method
predefined in flash's action script called XML.send. What it does is
take an XML object that you created and sends it to a script via a POST
method, however MM in all of there wisdom don't assign a name to the
value. What PHP does when it encounters this is try to parse it like a
normal name=value POST. So if flash sends an XML doc that looks like
this:
<TESTING value_1="This is a test" value_2="1" />
PHP thinks the name is : <TESTING_value_1
and the value is: "This is a test" value_2="1" />
Is there any way of manually assigning this value to a variable. I have
tried something like this without any luck:
$fd = fopen ("php://stdin", "r");
$val = fread ($fd, $HTTP_SERVER_VARS["CONTENT_LENGTH"]);
fclose ($fd);
I would greatly appreciate any help that can be offered. Thanks in
advance!
Setup:
PHP: 4.0.3pl1
Apache: 1.3.9
