Sounds weird.. Perhaps its a bug we should look into, both Java and Com are very under used, could be possible for there to be some bugs in there with the two interfering with existing functions etc (I doubt this is the case). Has ANYONE got com working with the functions in PHP4?? There seems to be quite a few of these fringe things that either dont work or have iffy support. Perhaps the QA team should make a real effor to test these all. If someone can send me a few COM test scripts then I can test it to under Win2k and play about with a debug build also, James -- James Moore PHP Quality Assurance Team jmoore@php.net > -----Original Message----- > From: d.rethans@jdimedia.nl [mailto:d.rethans@jdimedia.nl] > Sent: 14 December 2000 23:18 > To: James Moore > Cc: behrooz@lycos.com; php-dev@lists.php.net > Subject: Re: [PHP-DEV] PHP 4.0 Bug #8263 Updated: com_invoke > > > James Moore wrote: > > > > You have not enabled com functions in your php.ini, if you have a > > php_com.dll then just either add or uncomment the appropriate > line in your > > php.ini file otherwise download a distribution form > http://www.php4win.de > > and use that one.. make sure you get one with Com built in. > > > > Please tell us if this solves your problem. > > James, I had exactly the same problem, has nothing to do with > php_com.dll not > being loaded.
