Fixed - thanks! Linux's gcc does not allow direct casting from a pointer to a 64 bit integer. AIX and Sun's native compiler do not allow casting on the left hand side of the equasion. Window's compiler is the most permissive.I think that's because they have tons of legacy code :) They need it for their own code. Andi
