Exception handling in PHP

Has anyone come up with an elegant means to handle run-time exceptions in
PHP? If not I'd like to suggest either a java-stype try...catch/throw, or
an implementation of setjmp/longjmp so it can be implemented in user-land.
Are either of these feasible?
