ID: 8488 User Update by: big.col@virgin.net Old-Status: Feedback Status: Open Bug Type: PWS related Description: Scripts not being processed Sorry!!! I must be ranking among the top candidates for Mr. Stupid-and-shouldn't-be-trusted-with-a-computer Awards. My problem was because I didn't know how to use PWS properly. I thought (slap to forehead!) that PWS would process all documents entered into the browser address line. It turns out that PWS only processes documents that are prefixed by the host machines name and are referenced by the virtual server path, as in: "http://COMPUTER_NAME/test.php". Since I discovered that it's working a treat. PHP rules - it's official! <Previous and rather embarrassing original posting?!?> Win98/PWS/PHP4.0.4 When I run a php script an MS DOS window appears, briefly showing the script, but nothing appears in the browser window. A view source reveals no parsing of the <?php ?> section. I've ensured that extension_dir="c:/php" and removed the doc_root line from php.ini, as advised in one of the user comments who said they had similar problems but to no avail. I've trawled every FAQ and user comment, but it doesn't seem to be a documented problem. Thanks.
