Hi, I tried to email the author mentioned in the dbase module, but that didn't work, so I'm forwarding it here. I mention below that I don't plan on adding more functionality, but I think I'm having a change of heart, but I'll leave that to you folks to decide. Thanks, Geoff ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: I'm adding Foxpro memo support Date: Thu, 4 Jan 2001 19:52:36 -0800 From: Geoff Jukema <gjukema@jukeware.com> Hi Jim, since Thursday, I've been adding (some) memo support to the dbase module. I've only added memo support for FoxPro tables - I'm not sure how much work it would take to support dbase. Currently, supported is : 1) creating the memo file (hard-wired with an extension of fpt) 2) full support for dbase_add_record (minus a few minor glitches I'm working on) That's it. I don't plan on adding any more, but perhaps I'll get carried away after I've finished the add_record thing. I guess I'm wondering if you, or someone else would be interested in taking a look at what I have so far. Perhaps it could be included with PHP or maybe parked somewhere for others to use it, whatever. I should let you know that this is the first useful thing I've written in C, and probably the first time I've written C since college - but don't let that scare you - I'm confident the code isn't too out of wack, and besides, every thing of done is either surrounded by /* GJ */ or has a /*GJ */ before or after it. Let me know if you'd like to take a look, or know someone else that might be interested in it, or if you want more details about how I've done it. Thanks for you time, Geoff -- Geoff Jukema gjukema@jukeware.com gjukema@daemonnews.org www.daemonnews.org ------------------------------------------------------- -- Geoff Jukema gjukema@jukeware.com gjukema@daemonnews.org www.daemonnews.org
