I am making use of the $REMOTE_USER env var to identify the currently
validated user to an administrative web page (via .htaccess) on a
FreeBSD/Apache/PHP3 setup.
I cannot figure out how to create a "log out" method (button, link,
etc) that will cause the browser to ask for the username/password again
if access is requested to the protected area. So far, this I can only do
this by quitting the browser and starting it up again. I am assuming
this is the browser memorizing the uname/password combo and just sending
it back to the server when asked, but I am not sure this is really
what's going on.
Any ideas? Thanks.
