I'm having major problems trying to figure this one out:
When attempting to compile Apache with a PHP-module which supports both
SOLID and MySQL, the compiler produces an error message and creates a
httpd-binary that dumps the core if run. If the PHP-module is configured
to support only one of the databases - it doesn't matter whice one - it
all works out just fine. I am using FreeBSD 2.2.8 (since no ELF-library
is available from Solid yet) with Apache v1.3.4, PHP3.0.5 and Mysql
3.22.16a-gamma.
The compiler gives the following error message (when running Apaches
./Configure utility and as the last line make prints):
"ld: symbol __GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_ remains undefined"
The error message is not displayed when compiling for either of the
databses alone.
When trying to run the binary it dumps the core with a "Bus error"
message.
Does enyone have any suggestions on where to look for a solution to this
problem? I have to be able to log into both kind of servers at the same
time, and have to look for other ways than PHP to do this if a cannot
solve this problem. Since I've written quite a bit of code in PHP, I'd
prefer to not do it all over again...
