Perhaps we should provide a macro for that purpose, as the
standard C++ library is available under various names:
AC_CHECK_LIB(C, cin)
AC_CHECK_LIB(g++, cin)
AC_CHECK_LIB(stdc++, cin)
AC_CHECK_LIB(cxx, cin)
I think it would be fine, if you would use the third test
until we decide to improve this area.
