hmm just a tiny thing... on my solaris box i can call a command line script like this > php text.php3 -test 1 -file tubu -show 2 on my linux (RH 5.2) this doesn't work as the getopt is complaining: ./php: invalid option -- t Usage: php [-q] [-h] [-s] [-v] [-i] [-f <file>] | {<file> [args...]} -q Quiet-mode. Suppress HTTP Header output. -s Display colour syntax highlighted source. -f<file> Parse <file>. Implies `-q' -v Version number -p Pretokenize a script (creates a .php3p file) -e Execute a pretokenized (.php3p) script -c<path> Look for php3.ini file in this directory -i PHP information -h This help this is due to the fact, that the linux compile uses the libc getopt, which behaves different from php's one.... tc On 20 Mar 1999, Bug Database wrote: > ID: 91 > Updated by: sas > Reported By: chrism@FOUR.net > Status: Closed > Bug Type: Feature/Change Request > Assigned To: > Comments: > > the $argv array is supported > > Full Bug description available at: > http://ca.php.net/bugs.php3?id=91 > > > -- > PHP Development Mailing List http://www.php.net/ > To unsubscribe send an empty message to php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net > For help: php-dev-help@lists.php.net > > > -- PHP Development Mailing List http://www.php.net/ To unsubscribe send an empty message to php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For help: php-dev-help@lists.php.net
